Today is the begining of the 20th annual Nightfall astronomical event in Borrego Springs, Ca. I have packed all my goodies in the RV and I am taking off for the only official dark sky certified city in California.
I will be staying at the Palm Canyon Resort Hotel and RV park. They have just renovated the entire place and it promises to be a fantastic upgrade. I recommend that if you are traveling to Borrego Springs to view the desert flowers in bloom (February-March) that you stay here. It is right next door to the state park where you can view the flowers in all their glory. It is also near a horse riding outfit and near the tennis courts for the more outdoorsy types. So check it out.
I will (hopefully) be taking a three day time lapse of the event from my RV spot and if everything goes well, I will post photos for you tomorrow and next week. If you are coming to the event, I’ll see you there.
