Raised Pizza

Chicago style, here I come.

Thanks to RKG1 from BigOven.
This is a rather simple pizza base recipe and is designed for 2 pizzas. It’s rather delicious and diverse.

2 tsp yeast
3 tbsp butter
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup warm water
1 tbsp sugar

Cooking Time: 15-20 min

1 Put the warm water in the bowl in which you’ll mix the ingredients. Add the sugar and then the yeast. Leave it for 10-15 minutes to let the yeast start their work.
2 Add to this the flour, salt and butter and mix thoroughly and set oven to 400F / 200C.
3 Turn on to floured/oiled surface and knead until smooth.
4 Roll out to about 0.5-1 cm depending on desired thickness.
5 Form the crust and leave to rest while preparing the filling.
You get a better base if you bake the base without the topping…
